“Dead Poets Society”
When I was in high school student, I saw this movie.
The stage was 1959, a strict American high school for boys.
An unusual teacher called Keating comes there.
“Throw away the Textbook” he said.
The students are confused but they are gradually attracted to him.
You thought it was a happy ending story that young people enjoy life for love and dreams of the future.
After a surprising incident, the story goes to the scene.
Because of this film I have been meditating about the “meaning of my life”.
I want to do “manufacturing”.
I worked hard to study and went to the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Major in nuclear reactor engineering.
I really want to contribute to build nuclear power to Japan, but critical accident happened in Tokai-village and I lost my job.
Therefore, I decided to work at Japan Patent Office with the goal of becoming a patent lawyer that I was interested in then.
Because After working as an examiner in the Patent Office for 12 years, you can qualify as a patent attorney.
I was determined to work at the Japan Patent Office to become a patent lawyer, but the country decided to increase the number of patent lawyers.
Until then, the patent attorney exam was a narrow gate with a pass rate of 1%.
But I thought, “If the number of patent lawyers continues to increase, there will be a lot of competition after 12 years,” so I left the JPO.
I took a patent lawyer exam, successfully passed it, and decided to work in a major office in Tokyo.
In that office, my jobs were associated with a large company and I climbed up to the partner position.
But I noticed.
“SMEs really need intellectual property.”
Because of such thoughts, I established the Uemura International Patent Office as a patent attorney specializing in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
Since the beginning of my office I have interacted with various Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, more and more questions come from them not only for intellectual property.
I want to solve all customers’ problems at once, so we established Polaris Intellectual Property Consulting Co., which has the meaning of North Star, i.e., a road sign.
“To do this business, I have to submit this document to the government office and get permission.”
“How to manage labor management …”
“How about funds for new businesses …”
The manager has different concerns.
However, worrying about document preparation and various tasks not directly related to the core business is not the “meaning of life” of the manager.
If you have such a problem, please contact us first.
I will show you the way to solve the problem.
Also, I am convinced that the “meaning of life” is to serve as a guide for the managers.
Please see the page below for more details.
